Dickon is a graduate of the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus in Barbados and the Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad & Tobago where he earned a Bachelor of Laws Degree (with Honours) and a Legal Education Certificate respectively.
Dickon was the recipient of several awards at Hugh Wooding Law School in recognition of his skill as an advocate, but most notably, The Principal’s Award for Advocacy (2001-2002) and The Robert Mathieu Sellier Memorial Prize (2002) for the Best Performance in Trial Advocacy.
Dickon’s legal career started as an Associate Attorney-at-Law at the law firm Grant, Joseph & Co. in the year 2002. In March 2006, he bought the practice of Grant, Joseph & Co. and remained one of the Partners until December 2016 when he moved on to start his own practice, Mitchell & Co.
He is a Notary Public for the State of Grenada and is the Honorary Consul for the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Grenada. He has held various directorships on Statutory Bodies and Non-Governmental Organisations including the Grenada Cooperative Nutmeg Association (GCNA) and the New Life Organisation (NEWLO). Dickon currently sits on the Boards of NEWLO, the Jason Roberts Foundation and the Grenada Coral Reef Foundation Inc. He is Counsel to many of the larger businesses in Grenada spanning the wholesale and retail businesses, insurance, banking, power generation, education, tourism and the hotel sector.
Dickon has extensive experience in Civil Practice, Project Financing (both debt and equity), Real Property, Mortgages and Conveyances, Corporate and Commercial Law, Commercial Advisory Services, Banking and Finance, Industrial Relations Dispute Settlement, Collective Bargaining Negotiation Processes, Taxation Matters, Contract Law and General Litigation.
He has also conducted research for several publications of the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation. Dickon has a passion for educating young people and is an avid sports fan and music lover.

Skeeta was admitted to practice in Grenada in October 2012 after acquiring a Bachelor of Laws Degree (with Honours) from the University of the West Indies Cave Hill Campus in Barbados and a Legal Education Certificate of Merit at the Hugh Wooding Law School in Trinidad & Tobago.
Skeeta’s academic life has been punctuated with several notable achievements, namely being the recipient of the following awards: The Grenadian Island Scholarship Award (2005) awarded to the top Grenadian performer in the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations (CAPE); The Department of Youth National Award (2006) in recognition of her exemplary performance in the field of Education; Legal Education Certificate of Merit from the Hugh Wooding Law School (2012) having attained at least nine ‘A’ grades over the two-year course of study comprising 11 law courses; The H. Aubrey Fraser Memorial Award (2012) awarded to the top performer in Ethics, Rights and Obligations of the Legal Profession at the Hugh Wooding Law School; The Fitzwilliam, Stone, Furness-Smith & Morgan Award (2012) presented to the top performer in Civil Procedure and Practice II at the Hugh Wooding Law School; The Council of Legal Education Prize (2012) for the most Outstanding Year II student; and The Book Specialist Prize (2012) for the First Outstanding Year II student.
She has represented Grenada as its CARICOM Youth Ambassador and as its Representative in special sessions in the United Nations. She has served as Secretary of the Grenada Bar Association and continues to work closely with the current Executive Council. After her admission to the Grenada Bar in 2012, Skeeta worked as an Associate Attorney-at-Law at two local law firms before joining Principal Attorney-at-Law Mr. Dickon Mitchell in January 2017 in the newly formed Mitchell & Co.
Her areas of practice are diverse and include Civil Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution, The Law of Intellectual Property, Family Law, Employment Law, Company Law, Insurance Law, Real Property Law, Contract Law and Succession Law.
Skeeta enjoys reading and watching movies as modes of relaxation.
Our Team

Ricardo is a Paralegal of 7 years with special emphasis on the Law of Intellectual Property. He has registered hundreds of trademarks in Grenada and is very passionate about increasing awareness of the protection of intellectual property rights. Apart from Intellectual Property, the scope of Ricardo’s work at the Firm includes Company Law, the Law of Succession and General Litigation. He graduated at the top of the Law Procedures Department at the T.A. Marryshow Community College in 2016 and is currently reading for a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) at the University of London (International Programmes). Ricardo is an avid sports fan and plays competitive Cricket with a local team in Grenada.

Sonia is our most experienced Paralegal with over 33 years’ experience in the legal field. Her professional journey started as a Librarian of the then Rotary Club of Grenada East Library located in the northernmost parish of our island, St. Patrick. Sonia then moved on to become the Legal Assistant to Attorney-at-Law, Mr. Jerome Forde (deceased) before joining the firm of ‘R.C. Grant’ as a Paralegal in 1984. Sonia has spent most of her working life with the firm of ‘R.C. Grant’ which was renamed ‘Grant & Grant’ and later ‘Grant, Joseph & Co.’ Sonia has become an expert on Mortgages and Conveyances over the years and has developed a keen eye for detail. In her spare time, Sonia enjoys cooking and spending time with her children.

Neilgean is a Paralegal of 16 years focusing specially on General Litigation and Family Law. She obtained honourary certification in Paralegal Studies from the T.A. Marryshow Community College and has acquired several certifications over the years in Business Etiquette and Customer Service Optimisation as part of her personal resolve to consistently improve herself professionally. Neilgean’s efficiency in the execution of her work is admirable and is an asset to the team. She enjoys reading novels and spending time with her daughter in her spare time.

Valerie’s journey as a Paralegal started 32 years ago at the law firm ‘R.C. Grant’ where she developed great skill and competence in most of our practice areas but most notably, the Law of Conveyancing, Mortgages, Company Law, the Law of Succession and General Litigation. Valerie’s cheerful personality has been her greatest asset in her professional career and she has been playfully dubbed the “mommy” of the Mitchell & Co. team. Valerie currently serves on the Boards of several companies in Grenada and is the Assistant to the Honorary Consul for the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Grenada. She is particularly active in her Church and enjoys singing in her Church Choir and spearheading various humanitarian initiatives. In her spare time, Valerie enjoys leisurely walks with her friends.

Lisa has been a Legal Clerk for 22 years focusing on conducting title searches at the Deeds and Land Registry in Grenada, a crucial function in our legal practice as Grenada retains the registered land system. Lisa entered the legal field under the wing of Attorney-at-Law Mrs. Linda Grant (deceased) who trained her in the efficient administration of a law firm. She is also proficient in the Law of Mortgages and Conveyancing. Lisa is arguably the most outgoing member of the Mitchell & Co. team and enjoys hiking in her down-time.

Bonny is an ACCA Certified Accountant and started her accounting career in the year 2007 as the Accountant for a local law firm before joining the Mitchell & Co. team. She also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting & Business Administration from St. George’s University and is presently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Professional Accountancy with the University of London (International Programmes). Bonny’s petite frame is in no way a reflection of her accounting prowess and determined spirit. She enjoys playing board games in her leisure time.
